A practical guide
Pack with confidence.
Keep learning.
Start with a kit
Open Kits → New kit. Name it for clothing, tech or an activity, then add items with required quantities and categories. Use Edit to reorder. Editing creates a new version; Compare kit versions shows before and current values. Counts range from 1 to 9,999 per item.
Try the weekend sample
Choose Try the sample in an empty library, or Settings → Add weekend sample. Tech Kit includes two USB-C cables, a charger and headphones. Two-Night Clothing Kit supplies a small clothing list. Open Trips → Weekend train trip to pack.
Make another trip
Choose Start a new trip, name it and select kits. Dates are optional calendar dates in YYYY-MM-DD form; they do not shift with your timezone. Matching names show source quantities and stay separate unless you choose Merge. New trips start unpacked and keep snapshots of the selected kit versions.
Packed, omitted or missing?
The large circle packs the full quantity; tap a row to edit partial quantities or status. Intentionally omitted means you deliberately chose not to bring an item. It is resolved, but not counted as packed. Pending and missing items remain unresolved. End trip & review preserves that record, even when unresolved.
Improve the next kit
End a trip, then open Post-trip review. Record used, unused or missing items, add a note, and optionally propose a change. Select the one source kit/item that should change. The proposal screen compares original, proposed and current values. Apply creates a new kit version. If the kit changed meanwhile, choose a deliberate resolution or reject the proposal. Accepted proposals cannot apply twice.
Archive, reopen and delete
Completed trips can be archived or reopened. Reopening preserves their counts. Deleting a kit keeps trip snapshots readable. Deleting a trip removes its review but keeps kits. Undo reverses the last successful change until the next change or app relaunch; delete-all cannot be undone.
Back up and restore
Settings → Export complete backup creates a portable JSON file. Import backup validates the file and shows a preview. Skip preserves matching records. Merge extends only compatible kit histories; it does not overwrite existing trips. Copy creates separate identities and prevents copying the identical backup twice. Optionally restore appearance settings. Keep backups somewhere safe before reinstalling or deleting local data.
The app supports up to 500 kits (including deleted kit history), 500 trips, 1,000 items per kit/trip, 1,000 versions per kit, and a 16 MiB encoded backup. These are data-integrity limits, not paid tiers. Invalid or unsupported files are rejected without replacing the live library. A damaged store offers recovery or validated restore.
Remove fictional samples safely
Settings → Remove sample content removes untouched sample trips and items. Personal trips made from sample kits survive. Personalized items and their containing trip remain. Trip snapshots retain the kit details they used.
Share or print
Open a trip → Preview & share list. Review the included details, then share text or preview a PDF. Select A4 or US Letter. The PDF preview has Share and Print controls. Actual printer availability and margins depend on your printer.
Purchase and offline use
One paid app download includes every feature, with no subscription or in-app unlock. Redownload using the same Apple Account through the App Store. Apple handles purchase and refund requests. Packing, review and backup creation work locally; web links, redownload and some share destinations need a connection.
